City of Kamloops Agriculture Area Plan Farm Tour

The Project

Responsible for the vision, development and implementation of a local farm tour to kick off the development of the City of Kamloops' Agriculture Area Plan process.  The tour was aimed at increasing the level of understanding of Kamloops' agricultural assets and the farmers/ranchers involved, and building new partnerships to support the local industry.  Key local issues and opportunities were identified over the course of the day that helped inform further engagement opportunities and ultimately the Agriculture Area Plan itself.  Over 60 individuals participated in the tour, including, but not limited to, local, regional, provincial and federal government officials, farmers and ranchers and local agricultural support agencies.
