shishalh Nation Supportive Housing Framework

The Project

Meraki was contracted by shishalh Nation to conduct pre-planning and engagement to inform the development of a Supportive Housing Strategy for the Nation.  The work focuses on housing that is subsidized with on-site supports for single adults, seniors and people with disabilities at risk of or experiencing homelessness (and others) with the goal of helping those in need find and maintain stable housing. The project includes interactive engagement opportunities with leadership and community Members, technical support and a final report that outlines a community-supported vision, guiding principles and recommendations to inform a comprehensive Supportive Housing Strategy that meets the needs of Members and their families.
