Kitselas Zoning Law

The Project

Meraki was contracted to work closely with the Kitselas Lands and Resources Department and community members to develop the Nation’s first Zoning Law for seven Reserves. The Law closely aligns with the Nation’s Land Use Plan and included community engagement during the COVID-19 Pandemic that met public health protocols at the time. Public and staff input combined with technical planning and zoning expertise ensured the Law was functional and met the specific needs and desires of the Kitselas community.
